Milvali is a locally owned, fabulous beauty salon. They cover all of my beauty needs and are my most reliable go to for hair, skin and everything in-between. From a last minute brow shape to the best highlights I have ever gotten, I love this little place in my hood, ran by people from my hood. Their branded Milvali makeup is natural, affordable and just as good as any other premium brand makeup. I really like their tinted moisturizers and lip glosses. The ladies there have saved the day for me, on more than one occasion and I alway walk out feeling well taken care of. So because I like this salon so much I’ve been there quite a few times in recent months and I’ve seen Diane (for makeup) and Jackie (for extension maintenance) and Nicole (for eyebrow shaping) and each time I have been super happy with the results. I feel like no matter who I see I’ll be in good hands. I think I’ve found my go to salon. Also Karen at the front desk is really nice too. Ok I’ll stop gushing about this salon now I promise – I just really like it! I love love love milvali. The receptionists are super nice and helpful. the spray tans are legit and Sophie does awesome hair! Perfect marina salon I recently had a haircut with Lindsey. I have long wavy hair and the worst thing for me is to come in and have too much hair cut off. I came in for just a little trim. Didn’t have to wait at all, she was ready for me the second I walked in! She did exactly what I asked her to do! The little scalp massage she gave me while washing my hair was heavenly. Thank you, Lindsey! Deb did an amazing job transforming my hair. She matched my ombré color & took me in same day for extensions. I will be going back again and again. What a fun experience! Honestly, I don’t know why it took me so long to write a review about Milvali Salon… because I absolutely A D O R E this place! Every time I walk in, I feel like a kid in a candy store. With the pink walls, pretty decorations, awesome selection of hair products, AND their makeup…wow! But, want to know my favorite thing about Milvali salon? The wonderful, beautiful, talented, friendly ladies who work here! So incredibly sweet and they all do amazing work! LOVE LOVE LOVE Jessika and Hilary for their waxing mastery and Fiona for her fabulous hair styling techniques and dreamy blowouts. Going next week for ombre locks! Woohoo! This review’s for Jackie and her men’s cuts. I’ve been going to her for over 2 years and have had a handful of hairstyles in that timeframe. Every cut has been meticulous and exactly what I’ve wanted, without being over the top or uncomfortable. My girlfriend and a handful of her friends have also had color done and have always walked away happy. So I just got home from my first visit to Milvali and my hair is so happy that it might actually be whistling. I relocated to SF from Boston where I had a stylist that I adored. Not only did I adore her but I trusted her. I could walk in, close my eyes and say, “do whatever you feel like” and I always left feeling great. And I don’t ever take risks with my hair. With her, I could. So. Fast forward to San Francisco. I’m of course terrified that I won’t find someone that I liked as much so I dragged my feet until getting it cut was no longer optional. I made an appointment at Milvali at the recommendation of the former tenant of my apartment. (The Yelp coupon certainly didn’t hurt, especially going somewhere new). First, they got me in the day after I made the appointment. The minute I walked in I noticed the happy, welcoming energy from the staff. My appointment was with Ashley who in addition to being a fantastic stylist, is just awesome to talk to. I was immediately comfortable. She gave great advice when I was looking for suggestions to protect my chlorine damaged-locks. (I also got a deep-conditioning treatment this time.) She’s personable, professional, and took time to get to know me and what I was looking for in a cut/color. I haven’t done my color here yet, but I plan to for the next visit. I unfortunately don’t know the names of the other two women working there that I was speaking with when I was checking out, but they were super friendly as well. I’m thrilled with my cut and feel totally de-stressed after a stressful work week! I can’t imagine that other team members would be any different, so I while I highly recommend Ashley, I think you can expect this level of quality across the board. And PS….as if the experience wasn’t enough, my very guys-guy boyfriend keeps touching my hair. Liana is a waxing GODDESS!! She is great, makes you feel comfortable and makes you look amazing to say the least. All of the staff are friendly and very accommodating when scheduling etc. When it comes to lash extensions I consider myself an expert. As a beauty blogger (http://www.mybeautybinge…), it’s my job to research the best-of-the-best and and I found it with Joceyln at Milvali Salon. I’ve never seen an eyelash stylist so meticulous and thorough. She was also very informative on day-to-day lash care. Ladies, this is important — I don’t care if you go to the best eyelash stylist in the world, if you don’t care for your lashes they simply will not last. I’m really happy with Jocelyn and I would never think of going anywhere else for my Bambi lashes.
